         <description><![CDATA[A dominant second half propelled the Lane Community College women's basketball team to a 113-49 victory over visiting Portland Community College on Saturday. 

Up 37-26 at halftime, the&#160;Titans shot 28-of-42 (66.7 percent) in the second half for a 76-23 edge in the final 20 minutes. Lane forced 36 turnovers for the game, and shot 51.9 percent overall (41-of-79).

It was the Titans’ lowest scoring night of the season by far. Their previous low was 66.
Brittany May was Lane’s only player in double figures with 12 points.
Overall, the Titans shot just 35 percent from the field and made only three field goals in the second half.

Theresa Brown had 17 points and 13 rebounds, and MaKenzie Ficek added 10 points as the Lane Community College defeated Linn Benton 82-51 in a NWAACC women's basketball game Saturday.

The       Titans       led 48-12 at halftime and 80-42 in the second half, extending the nation's longest home winning streak to 76 games.       

Lynette Minthorn, Sarah Brolsma Whitfield, Kristen Huff and Kaitlyn Kronberger added nine points each for Lane.

         <description><![CDATA[SPOKANE - Kim Wilson broke a 20-year Lane record in the triple jump, and the       Titan       men and women placed second to Spokane on the final day of the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges track and field championships on Friday.     

Wilson, a freshman from Hutchinson, Alaska, won with a mark of 38 feet to eclipse the LCC record of 37-5 by Amy Bruhn in 1989.

SPOKANE — Tyler Lindgren and Max Perry went 1-3 in the hammer, and the Lane Community College men were in second place after the first day of the NWAACC Track &amp; Field Championships on Thursday at Spokane Falls Community College.
Spokane leads the team race with 106 points, and Lane has 96.

         <description><![CDATA[Kevin Shepherd went 4-for-5 and drove in two runs to lead Lane Community College to a 6-3 victory over South Division leader Mount Hood in the opening game of an NWAACC baseball doubleheader on Thursday.       

Mount Hood won the second game 8-2.

The annual Washington vs. Oregon team challenge meet hosted by Community Colleges of Spokane went to another level this year and the Lane Community College track and field team was not intimidated by the competition or sub par weather. Lane was second overall in the men's scoring and fifth overall in the women's team scores.
